It consists in the reshaping of the
nose in harmony with the desires of the patient and the
structure of his/her face.
Rinoplasty is performed both on the
bony part of the nose, in order to remove the hump and the
cartilage in order to reduce the tip.
The results are visible as
soon as the mask is removed: the aesthetic improvement of the nose and the profile are immediately evident.
Anesthesia
and Hospitalization
General anesthesia is usually preferred, in day-hospital.
Convalescence
At the end of the operation the nostrils
present internal reabsorbable suture stitches.
Two small pads
will be removed the day after. On the bridge of the nose a mask
in chalk or in plastic material is applied. It will be removed
after 7 to 10 days. Resumption of daily activities is after 2 or
3 days, professional can resume after 10 days.
After 1 month the
nose begins to recover sensibility and elasticity, regaining normality within 6 months to 1 year.
