PERMANENT HAIR
REMOVAL WITH LASER |
|
The patient that undertakes
definitive epilation looks for satisfying results without
bothers or side effects, in a reasonable number of
sessions.
Epitouch Laser plus Alexandrite satisfies such request,
for the absence of side effects on short and long term, for the
speed of treatment and the least discomfort.
The epilation with
this System is a medical treatment with the use of a very
powerful laser. This System is exclusively performed by an
experienced physician, in a specialistic ambulatory, adequately
equipped.
How does the laser workThe removal of superfluous hair
through laser is achieved through a process of heating (selective
termocinesi) at high temperature of the piliphery bulbs and
follicles without the laser ray damaging the skin.
This laser ray penetrates under the skin up to 5/6 millimeters, without
causing damages to the tissues, concentrates thermal energy in
the pigmented cells (melanin) of the bulb and of the dermical
papillas and then increases the temperature in order to destroy
it. One session is not enough to get the total epilation of the
treated zone.
The laser destroys the piliferi bulbs in an anagen
phase or in the growth phase. In this phase the hair is longer
and particularly rich in melanin. On the bulbs in the quiescente
phase the laser ray doesn't have meaningful effects. For this
reason, to reach the total epilation of a certain zone, more
laser sessions are needed (in average from 3 to 6, sometimes up
to 6 to 12, during which, every time, from 20 to 30% of the hair
will be destroyed).
Definitive and total epilation is
progressively gained alternating the sessions every 4 to 6 weeks.
The last sessions will obviously be lighter and briefer than the
first ones. Besides hair changes notably: gets thinner, weaker
and paler.
Who can undertake the treatment Both men and women,
with black, dark, red, dark blond color down or superfluous hair,
except for those with white hair, for which the laser is
ineffective can undertake the treatment.
How the sessions are
carried outThe examination before the beginning of the treatment
is fundamental. The patient has to undergo the preliminary visit
with grown hair, in order to allow the physician to plan, on the
base of hair and skin typology, the duration of the treatment.
The patient has to supply information to the physician on the
usual means and frequency of epilation because if a patient, for
instance, has removed the hair a week before, probably the
number of visible hairs will be inferior to the number of
existing ones. If the hairs are too long, they should be
shortened to a few millimeters before the laser passage. System
of cooling Epitouch Laser plus Alexandrite uses a system of
active cooling that, through a pipe, applies cold air on the
treated zone, with the purpose to disperse heat caused by the
laser ray and therefore to eliminate any damage to the epidermis.
At the same time it reduces possible pain to the patient. This
allows the use of the laser at maximum power, in order to
destroy completely the hair without harming the surrounding
tissues.
The passage of the laserPassage of the laser is made
with a computerized scanner EpiTouch Plus and follows a
programme with 5 impulses per second (this avoids the
accumulation of thermal energy minimizing pain and discomfort).
The spot covers an area from 1 cm2 up to 25 cm2: the zone to be
depilated is treated in a rapid and effective way, also for the
darkest skins.Discomfort during the treatment During treatment
the patient can feel heat or itch but such perception can be
quickly eliminated by regulating the power of the laser. In fact
this laser treatment is personalized according to the type of
skin and hair of the subject.
What must constantly be underlined
to the patient is that the treatment with the Epitouch Laser
plus Alexandrites system doesn't couse any collateral
effects.Precautions after the treatment After every session it
is advisable to use a moisturizing cream to limit an occasional
and however transitory cutaneous redness. It is also recommended
not to expose the part treated to the sun for a week and to use
a total screen protective cream. For the first 24 hours it is
preferable not to take a bath or a shower with very warm water,
not to rub the treated parts and not to wear tight clothes.
Definitive
resultsThe laser epilation is an ultramodern treatment developed
in the last 6 years. It is not therefore possible to affirm with
absolute scientific certainty that such epilation will be
definitive in the years. Experimentation up until now allows us
to affirm that up to six years after the treatment hair regrowth
has not been observed.
It is true also that the total
destruction of the bulb gained with the laser avoides the
regrowth of hair as the destroyed follicle is replaced by
fibrous tissue and therefore doesn't exist anymore. |
