This operation is meant to solve
masculine problems of voluminous breasts, due to an increase in
size of the mammary glands and to an excessive accumulation of
adipose tissues, or to both.
The operation is performed after
puberty. It is possible to remove the tissues in excess through
lipoaspiration or through surgical emptying. The results are
completely satisfactory.
The scars will be almost invisible,
located between the breast and the mammary areola.
Anesthesia
and Hospitalization
Local anesthesia with or without sedation in a day-hospital, depending on the entity of the operation and the age of the
patient.
Convalescence
It is recommended to avoid physical efforts
with the arms and sports in general for about one month after the operation.
