This operation reduces the volume
of the breast due to both aesthetical and physical reasons.
A
too voluminous and heavy breast can cause functional problems to
the back and can be source of complexes.
The results last in time. This operation is possible after 18
years of age.
Anesthesia
and Hospitalization
General anesthesia with one day of hospitalization.
Convalescence
Edema and ecchimosys can be visible for about
one month.
Some burning along the sutures is possible, however
it will disappear in about 15 days. It is of great importance to
bring a special contenitive bra in order to substain the breast.
Scars are thin and linear thanks to intradermical sutures.
It
will take 3-4 months for the breast to gain it's natural shape
and for the patient to appreciate the definitive result.
