The cellulitis is the result of
accumulation of fat in the adipocitis
(adipose cells of the ipoderma) and of stagnations of liquids in
the
subcutaneous surrounding tissues.
The typical aspect of cellulitis is due to the simultaneous
action of
swelling of the tissues and the traction at subcutaneous level.
Cellulitis tends to worsen because of the reduction of the blood
and
lymphatic circulation that induces a stagnation of the metabolic
residues and a nourishing impoverishment with the consequent
congestion of the connective tissue, the loss of elasticity and
the
presence of fibrosis.
This stadium, highly ugly, can also be characterized by the
presence
of nodules fibrotici and persistent pain.
